The Northern New Mexico DBT team was developed in 2005 and provides adherent DBT services to adults.  All of our therapists have been intensively trained and participate in weekly consultation team meetings. We are committed to providing compassionate and evidence based treatment and to this end have been active members of the Evidence Based Practice Institute since 2013.

Tess Moore
LCSW

Tess became interested in the field of social work during her work at a rehabilitative center for people struggling with addiction. She began her social work studies at New Mexico Highlands University with a focus on infant mental health. In addition to her academic work, Tess was also providing in-home parenting support and education for parents and soon-to-be mothers. After completion of undergraduate and graduate studies, Tess shifted her attention to providing the evidence-based treatment of Multi-Systemic Therapy (MST) for at-risk adolescents and families in Santa Fe, Rio Arriba, and Los Alamos Counties. After four years providing MST services, Tess became interested in further honing her clinical skills in evidence-based models of treatment, joining Northern New Mexico DBT in August of 2023. In addition to training as a Circle of Security facilitator and MST provider, Tess completed intensive training in DBT in April of 2023. Tess recognizes the incredible power of a treatment approach which emphasizes acquisition of the skills necessary for individuals to pursue their life-worth-living goals and has seen the ways in which clients have been able to transform their lives and achieve those goals. She will be pursuing DBT-Linehan Board of Certification Certified Clinician™ status during 2025.
